Ahmed Aboudoma Ahmed Aboudoma

Ahmed Aboudoma has had a fruitful career spanning 24 years in the sectors of telecommunications and ICT, including several years as chief executive officer for multiple telecommunications companies, where he successfully led company growth.

In May, 2011 Aboudomaheld the position of managing director and CEO at Global Telecom Holding which is listed on the Cairo and London stock exchanges. He led Global Telecom Holding to great successes as the company expanded its seven operating markets across three continents.

At an earlier stage, Aboudomawas part of the team that launched MobiNil services in Egypt between 1998 and 2008, and held several positions in the senior management of the company in the commercial section before moving to Orascom Group, where he served as CEO of Banglalink Telecom between 2009 and May 2011.

Aboudomaalso served as executive vice president of Vimplecom Group for Asia and Africa, which is listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange.

Furthermore, Aboudomawas a board member at the National Telecom Regulatory Authority since 2015, until he was appointed CEO of Mobily.

Aboudomaalsoworked for IBM between 1993 and 1996, where he managed the team of Datum IDS to launch a third operator to offer internet services in Egypt between 1996 and 1998.
